Disconnection

What hurts you the most? Seeing global changes in the fashion world and understanding that we will never get back to 90's or missing big names such as Yves and Oscar? I don't know. I want to talk about pain. Because sometimes I feel the pain.

People don't actually know fashion. 95% of human population has no idea what's happening in the fashion world. They prefer wearing something "normal". They say that fashion is not important. But it is our history. From Marie Antoinette to us, clothes has always been important. Centuries earlier people cared about fashion. The way they were dressing up in XVII century was unforgettable. Our generation cannot repeat it, because society killed the freedom, the ability of choosing your own way.
People think they know everything, but they have no idea who Thierry Mugler is. That's sad.

I am not saying everyone is like this, but most of people just have no idea. I am not trying to educate them. If they feel comfortable, they should be happy. If they think that clothes doesn't matter for them, they are right, because it's not that important for them. But they should stop judging XXI century innovations. If they see something a little bit different from everything, they shouldn't say that's crazy and not in fashion. They should read a book and try to understand.

I just want fashion world to go further and further. But the society always stops us and makes our movements really slow. Maybe that's because the society is not ready yet. But we can wait, I hope.
