Haute Couture is another world which opens its doors for us twice a year. I am really obsessed with every creature which appears on the runway during HC Fashion Week. They are more than outfits or dresses, hand-made masterpieces go trough our eyes to the deepest parts of souls. We can only expect what is going to be next, because we never know, which ideas a designer brings each season.
Ralph & Russo final dress
This is the first season I am making the review of Haute Couture collections. Fashion has changed in few years. I want HC to stay the same. I mean I really need it in the future. Some people say there is no life for Couture dresses, they are too expensive and no one wants to buy them. Celebrities only wear them once and then they get own by any museum or something in that way. But I think HC should be saved, we can't stop. I know, there are only about 30 (a little bit more) fashion houses which officially create HC collections twice a year, but they should keep going and never stop. We need to Couture dresses. Museums need them too. The thing is - Haute Couture is the real art and we are a part of this world in some way. People who understand the true meaning of Couture collections know what's going on. I visited Valentin Yudashkin's exhibition in Moscow few months ago. That exhibition was great. His Haute Couture dresses were standing in different halls near beautiful XV - XIX centuries artworks. And everything looked completed and perfect. I felt like that dresses could not live without masterpieces which were standing all over them.
Maison Martin Margiela sketch
Each fashion show on Paris Fashion Week was so so different, I could not decide, what should I check at first. Some shows really impressed me, and some made me feel bad about those fashion houses. Maybe I have no rights to say negative things about collections, because I am not even a designer and I can't even create a single dress. But maybe I have all right to judge, because I am a critic, I compare, I watch, I check, I see everything and even if the catwalk is not well done, I can say everything I want about that.
You can see a part of Chanel outfit below. I am so in love with Chanel fashion show. At first, I did not even like that collection. I felt like I had seen something before that show. Even make up and hair were mutual with one of previous shows. But then everything changed. I watched the show on YouTube and checked backstage videos. The collections is amazing, Karl changed sleeves' silhouettes. Of cause, he did not forget about traditional Chanel tweed outfits. Karl created some fresh & fabulous looks. For example, he mixed a turtle-neck coat with shorts and sandals. The fragment of the outfit on the picture below reminds me of a frozen smoke. Speechless. Karl is genius and I am falling in love with Chanel more & more (because you know I haven't been a Chanel fan since Coco and Elsa Schiaparelli situation ).
Chanel

Oh, Margiela. The collection is full of energy. Colours, silhouettes and emblems remind me of China. Why MMM got inspiration from China? I have no idea, but I can clearly say I am in love with every single outfit in this fall 14/15 collection. Fur and silk is a powerful combination.
This collection includes two types of masks - cute black veils, which let us see faces of models who wear them, or traditional Margiela masks, which hide the whole face and we can only guess if models look at us or at cameras. I wonder if they do any make up for the show? But I know, they see literally everything. More than that, they can breathe and hear.
I really appreciate Margiela's work. Fashion World is full of absolutely different designers. They all bring their own ideas and silhouettes. That's why I'm obsessed with Margiela. I can recognise the clothes and the style easily.

Conchita Wurst and Jean Paul Gaultier, backstage
Jean Paul Gaultier HC fashion show is really what we should talk about. It's famous for 2 things happening during the show- 4 falls at once during the first catwalk and final walk by Conchita, the winner of ESC 2014 from Austria. That fashion show was really iconic, no matter how many falls we counted - everything was perfect. We saw Gaultier's traditional style. I felt like he took inspiration from French women.
First outfits were simple casual looks, but then we saw something bohemian. Conchita did a perfect final catwalk (she liked my Instagram post few days ago!! #fangirlmoments).
I love confidence and passion. Jean Paul Gaultier's women are powerful. They don't need men for money, they need men for sex. Everytime I re-watch the show, I get really inspired. Silhouettes, materials, everything is really great. My favourite dress is the one with the big chain covering the skirt zone.
Can we talk about Viktor & Rolf like forever? I am so in love with them. They create masterpieces. The idea of this HC fashion show is really simple - models walk the Red Carpet wearing the Red Carpet. I love their sense of humour. This collection is so good and I have so many words to describe it. They took just one colour, but the way they played with silhouettes and the style - priceless. They made the real show. They showed us half-done models' hair, natural make up and ,pieces of the Red Carpet,,. It's not like something weird. It's Haute Couture and I love their game. They make us feel uncomfortable, because we try to look perfect in thousands of ways, and they make perfect looks just in one second.
Chanel
Karl Lagerfeld is one of the most powerful and inspirational designers in the whole world. He controls Fendi, Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld and his ideas are always fresh and exciting. I watched one video about this collection. At first, I didn't mention all the details of outfits. I forgot I was watching Haute Couture, but then I realised - all dresses and hats were hand-made. The video showed me the way each dresses was made. It took so long to create such a collection. Each oufit had its detail, its special secret.
I am proud of Karl Lagerfeld, no one will ever be as successful and creative as he is.
Armani Privé
Armani is the reason I breathe now. Their collections become more and more beautiful each season. If I had to choose my favourite outfit, I would not decide. I am in LOVE with every dress and suit Giorgio creates. I feel romanticism, passion, glamour, beauty, independence and other great things watching the show. I wish I could touch any of the dresses. Red, white and black coats are MUST HAVES of the season. I am really in love. I need a rich man to buy me all these masterpieces! The way he works on silhouettes, the way he makes women look romantic and glamorous. He really knows us, he knows who we would like to be and what we could only wish for.
Elie Saab final catwalk
Dior
Dior had one of the most boring shows I've ever seen. Raf entered Dior and the brand started slowly dying. The contrast between Galliano and Simons is too big. I know I have no rights to judge this designer because I am not on his level, but I want ART to be ART. He creates RTW clothes and even if this collection is hand-made, are we here for HC collections to buy them? Haute Couture at first was created for special clients, but for the last few years designs had been creating Haute Couture collections for SHOWS for indescribable emotions. I felt nothing. I did not like the show at all. Pure and cute outfits, simplicity and boredom. Where's the life? Where can we find the art ? Are we going to send to museums this? It's going to be really funny to visit Dior's exhibitions in the future. From fairy tales to the most boring casual dresses I've ever seen. I am really sorry. I respect Raf as a human and as a designer, but I don't like his work at Dior.
Giambattista Valli
The fashion show was really beautiful. I can't fall really into brand's style, but I like it a lot. Models in New Look dresses with serious ,,frozen,, faces and confident catwalk. I love the sunglasses and my favourite part about the show is the catwalk.
I was really scared models could push each other by an accident and fall, but nothing bad happened. Four final dresses were AMAZING. I saw a lot of fresh ideas, I loved the show.
Ulyana Sergeenko
I heard a lot of different things about that show. Someone said the music and the whole spirit was pessimistic because of the political situation in Kiev. I have no idea what had inspired Ulyana on such a beautiful collection. I love literally everything - make up and hair match. Feather and half transparent turtle-neck blouses, are we back to late 20's?
I love every single detail and I am so so so proud of Ulyana!
She made it.
Schiaparelli
Marco Zanini brought Schiaparelli back to life. I fell in love with that collection from the first catwalk. I felt like I was a part of a fairytale, a part of a story which never happened. Sparkly details, head accessories, bags, silhouettes, fake hair parts, prints. I loved absolutely everything. I had nothing to add or say. Collection was like a little fairytale. It explained my existence. I felt like I WAS the part of Schiaparelli's world.
SKETCH BOOK
What do I think about this season? I really like it. Every brand is really different. Designers show their imagination and make us fall for them. I am obsessed with each one. From RTW to HC we see the main trend - natural make up and half-done hair. You have no idea how much things I feel when I watch each Haute Couture fashion show. I love everything. I am really proud to be a part of this world.
