Valentin Yudashkin Fall 13/14 collection.
27/03/13 was my first visit to Valentin Yudashin's fashion show. It was the first official Fall 13/14 collection during Russian Fashion Week. I've got so much inspiration and expeirences !
I think Valentin's inspiration in this season was beauty of Russian women and their traditional style. Moreover, we can see ,Snow Queens, trough each outfit (specially, few last). I fell in love with colours,silhoettes,materials,shapes and everything !
Accessories were really beautiful and hair style completed collection's minimalism.
I think that this Fall 13/14 collection is about the end of 80's in Russia, when Russian women were in love with metalic tones but they needed to choose something more quite because financial crisis were coming.
Lights out,I see snow on the runway,music is on and the first model is doing the first catwalk. I was wondered how everything was so quite at the beginning - simple shapes and silhouettes ( 90's inspired), geometric prints. Then I found out that collection has metallic tones with its shoes,bags and small elements.
I fell in love with the first appearence of mettalic in shoes,then bags,after shoes and bags and dresses,it was really interesting to see the transformation from middle 90's to the end of 80's.
Materials were really good and I saw the highest quality in last dresses - each one was consisted from glass beads,is not it really high? I call it couture,no matter if it is RTW.
I loved how some dresses were transparent and there were a lot of beautiful elements. Also, one of the first ,ice, dresses reminded me Alexander McQueen SS 12 collection,they have something in common,but they are different in most of ways.
Colours were really quite - white (the main collection's colour), beige and pastel tones of green,blue and pink.
Final dresses,as Americans say,made me WOW. So much beauty in every element !
Make up was really simple,nothing bright and accent was on clothes.
I fell in love with hair style. Century by century this kind of ponytail is in fashion. It was famous all over poor people and workers in 19th century,it was famous during WW2 in middle 40's,it came in fashion at the bright and sexy 50's and it will be always here,in fashion.
Sometimes you need to show up your minimalism in make up and hair style and make an accent on your outfit,sometimes it is really important ,not to be too bright !
My outfit for the show was really simple. THis day was so special for me and I was thinking about the outfit for month,but then I decided to choose something really classical but still sexy - black suit.
It was Love Republic black suit with H&M black sun glasses, also I had an amazing Gucci bag with my camera for taking all these beautiful pictures.
Make up was so simple,but everyone loved it. I had red lips ( MAC cosmetics) and black mascara ( MAC cosmetics). I did not use any shades because accent was on lips and I had my sun glasses !
Hair had no ,special, style.
I chose my classical black Jeffrey Campbell shoes to look a little bit taller so it all worked pretty good !
